My name is Landon McCarter and I am excited to run for the Springfield Public School Board. I am a father to 3 children currently attending SPS schools. My oldest, Koah McCarter, is a 7th grader at Cherokee Middle School. He just finished his 7th grade football season as the starting quarterback and is a great student. My middle son’s name is Kasen McCarter, he is in 4th grade at Disney Elementary and has been named the Disney “citizen of the month” recently. My daughter is in 2nd grade at Disney Elementary, she loves participating in school functions and was also named citizen of the month.
My name is Landon McCarter and I am excited to run for the Springfield Public School Board. I am a father to 3 children currently attending SPS schools. I was born, raised, went to college, met my wife, and launched several businesses in Springfield, Mo. I went to Disney Elementary, Cherokee Middle School, and Kickapoo High School, graduating in 2003. During my senior year our basketball team won a state championship; many regard us as being the best high school basketball team in Missouri’s history. I graduated college from Missouri State University with a degree in Marketing. I have been a local entrepreneur in Springfield for the last 14 years specializing in Marketing, while also developing real estate with my wife Lindze McCarter.
I have been married to my best friend Lindze McCarter for 13 years. We could not be more proud of our children and the life we have built together in Springfield. Lindze and I currently run our own company named Secure Agent Marketing. We are an advertising agency that specializes in insurance and financial services. We employ around 30 full time team members and have been running this company for 3.5 years.
Lindze and I attend James River Church and love our time there. Our family really enjoys the community at James River and our children are very active in the youth groups as well. I personally gave my life to Jesus at the age of 22 while attending Missouri State. Since then, being a follower of Jesus has influenced every area of my life.
I am the son of Larry and Connie McCarter. My dad was a math teacher in the Springfield Public schools for 30 years, with an additional 11 years at Ozark Technical College. My mom volunteered in the school system periodically while raising her three kids, and later worked as a teacher’s assistant for 14 years. I could not be more proud of the work my father did for our community by teaching algebra to the youth of our community. This has a large impact on why I am choosing to run for school board.
